On September 22, 2024 at 08:43, the Autumn Equinox arrives in the Northern Hemisphere. This is the first day of autumn. During the autumn equinox, day and night are close to the same length, at 12 hours each.
Time is passing and the fall is definitely approaching.
Looking forward to the rich colours on the trees.

It's now the fall season and the leaves are starting to change. In my area of Northen Ontario the colours generally peak by the begining of October.
The Harvest Moon is the nearest full moon to the equinox. In 2024 this full moon is on September 18. The harvest moon is the time crops are gathered and stored for winter. It's also a time to gather family, enjoy a feast together, and give thanks for the rich harvest the earth has provided.
